Lake Naiwasha is a beautiful fresh-water lake in Kenya which lies north west of Nairobi. This place is part of Africa’s Great Rift Valley and is the highest point in the Kenyan Rift (1.890 meters above the sea). Its surface area is 139 sq. km. Lake Naivasha is home to a wide variety of wildlife including over 400 different species of bird and numerous hippos. There is a possibility of taking a boat trip on the lake which is unforgettable experience and  a great way to spend an afternoon or morning. The best time to visit is usually July to February and also July to September when it is possible to observe wildebeest migration.
